The Maritime Simulation Centre Warnemünde (MSCW) is the only one worldwide offering the possibility of combining the simulation of nautical and technical ships’ operations even covering the shore-based support by a VTS system.

The MSCW combines the 4 simulators

• SHS – Ship Handling Simulator
• SES – Ship Engine Simulator
• VTSS – Vessel Traffic Services Simulator
• SST – Ship Safty & Security Trainer

It was established for the education and training of the maritime seagoing personnel (ships officers) and provides an excellent basis for research and development within the following areas:

• Ship’s command (navigation and manoeuvre)
• ship machinery engineering
• maritime traffic management
• Safety und Security tasks
